2 April: World Autism Awareness Day

02 Apr 2013 - 10h21 | By INSERM PRESS OFFICE | France

Tuesday 2 April is World Autism Awareness Day.

In France, more than 430,000 people suffer from autism in varying degrees, 25% of whom are children.

This day, instituted by the United Nations General Assembly six years ago is aimed at informing the general public of the reality of this developmental disorder.

On this occasion, we suggest you consult the latest research into autism performed by the Inserm researchers:

New results highlight the importance of the synaptic genes in autism – Feb. 2012
