(French) : Les bienfaits d’une nouvelle molécule dans l’angioplastie coronaire
Menée par le Pr Philippe Gabriel Steg, de l’hôpital Bichat, (AP-HP) et l’équipe de recherche affiliée au Département Hospitalo-Universitaire FIRE, à l’Université Paris-Diderot et à l’Unité Inserm U-698, l’étude a porté sur plus de 24 000 patients traités par angioplastie et sur un nouveau traitement antiplaquettaire injectable inhibant la formation des caillots de plaquettes, le cangrelor. Les chercheurs ont analysé la totalité des résultats obtenus avec ce nouveau traitement comparé au traitement conventionnel. Ce nouveau médicament, fabriqué par The Medicines Company, n’est pas encore approuvé pour l’utilisation clinique et est encore expérimental.
