Endometriosis and the Risk of Miscarriage

Inserm reports a French study conducted on 750 women which shows that this neglected gynecological disorder significantly increases the risk of miscarriage.

“We have clearly evidenced the existence of an increased risk of early miscarriage in the first trimester of pregnancy in the presence of endometriosis,”summarizes Dr. Pietro Santulli, lead author for the study, researcher from Inserm Unit 1016 “Institut Cochin”.
